How do you think the events of September 11th, 2001 might have transpired differently if they had all the technology and websites that we have today back then?
Thursday September 13th
Debating the Future: For the four topics below, make two arguments, one affirmative and one negative on how you believe technology will impact the future.
Should schools and libraries block websites?
Will the Internet make schools disappear?
Will the Internet save lives?
Will the Internet ruin kids?
Friday September 14th
Make a list of locations that you have seen bullying take place at. How might you fight against bullying?
Tuesday September 18th
Write a paragraph about a time (at home, at a friends, at school, etc) that technology failed you. How did it fail? What did you do in response?

Answer the following questions in complete sentences.

Go to Typing Test. Here you will complete a timed test to assess just how fast you type, how many errors you make, and how many words per minute you would type if you did not have any errors. You can pick any of the stories to type from, but you must set the time to three (3) minutes. When you are done, record your scores on the discussion board found on your personal page. Remember to first put the date you completed the tests, and then the three numbers (Typing Speed, Errors and Adjusted Speed).
Tuesday October 16th
Go to the page "Excel Vocabulary" found on the 7th grade Technology homepage and begin reviewing the basic terminology for our next unit.
Thursday October 18th
1st: COMMUNITY READ
Have your Esperanza book and reading guide out in front of you.
Read pages 139-157.
Respond to the two (2) questions in your reading guide.
2nd: CAPSTONE BINDERS
Review the handout "Final Reflection." The SMART GOALS you created last period will be reflected upon at the end of the year at the last collection date.
Place this handout after the All-About Me Page (see Capstone Organization for exact location). New students will have to place it in another plastic sheet protector or in the side pocket.
RETURN Capstone Binders to original location. They are in alphabetical order.

Make a list of the different ways you can make a presentation for a class. Try to include as many examples as possible. Next to each type of presentation write a short description.
EXAMPLE: Powerpoint - powerpoint is a program you can use to make a presentation. Powerpoint lets you make a bunch of slides. On each slide you can put, pictures, writing, videos, animations, etc. I love using powerpoints.
